Beulah was the youngest daughter of Charles Mitchell and Mamie Snyder.  Her sister Mary Etta was five years older, and her brother Will was four years older. 

Beulah was very close to her sister throughout her life.  Her sister introduced her to her future husband, John R. Griffin.  Beulah married John in 1918.  This was a sad time for both Beulah and Etta because they heard of young friends who were dying from both an influenza outbreak and the First World War.

Beulah married John Griffin in 1918.  In the early years of their marriage, they lived with John's parents on their farm in Hereford, Maryland.  They later moved into their own home on John Street in Baltimore City.

Beulah and John had six children:

•         Jack - (1937 -

Beulah lived a long and healthy life and almost reached the age of 100.  Her husband John died in 1969.  They have ten grandchildren, and Beulah lived to see four great-grandchildren also.  Beulah died on June 6, 1996 and was buried at Baltimore Cemetery with her husband.
