Cal Ripken Jr.'s Family Tree

Here is Cal Ripken Jr.'s Tree on his mother's side. Her name is Violet Gross. 

As you can see Cal is a descendant of Frederick Mitchell who was a brother of our Elijah Mitchell.  We all descend from John Mitchell (1744-1805) who purchased the Stoney Ridge land parcels in Harford County.  John was a private in Captain Rodgers Company during the Revolutionary War, and he and Mary had eight children in total. 

Elisha Mitchell was a first cousin to Francis Mitchell, and Beulah Mitchell was a fourth cousin to Charles Edwin Gross, Cal Ripken Jr.'s grandfather.                                                                 Back to Main Mitchell Page
